The Up Side of Craig-gate
You know, some gays are all pissed at Larry Craig for making us look bad, but I'm totally not. Personally, I think it's about time America started having a real, serious dialogue about public restroom sex. For years, we've been avoiding asking all those questions we've secretly wondered so many times before, but were afraid people would judge us for for asking. Well, thanks to Larry Craig we can get that all out in the open now! I mean is public bathroom sex really that bad? Isn't it really a victimless crime? Like not buckling your seat belt or prostitution? Shouldn't parents take it upon themselves to find out which bathrooms are gay cruising hot spots ahead of time and just avoid them all together? Isn't that why it's called "parenting"? Should two, consenting, adults' right to express their love wherever and for however long they want be sacrificed in the name of keeping kids "safe"?
Sure, Larry Craig is a hypocrite for being so crazy-anti-gay, but aren't we being hypocrites too? Because be honest, haven't we all taken a "wide stance" before? I, for one, do not judge Mr. Craig. In fact, I salute Mr. Craig for bringing this issue to the fore. Because, love him or hate him, you can't deny that the Senator from Idaho has stimulated some really, really meaningful conversation...
